What a Pal We Have in Jesus

“In whom we’ve boldness and entry with confidence by religion in Him.” Ephesians 3:12
What a good friend we’ve in Jesus! We sang that music in church yesterday. Wow, that music has significant phrases. Have you ever sung it not too long ago? Simply learn the final two strains of the second verse:
“Can we discover a good friend so trustworthy? Who will all our sorrow bear?
Jesus is aware of our each weak point. Take it to the Lord in prayer.”
What a tremendous good friend! He’s at all times there for us – caring, listening, loving. He by no means leaves us. He’s at all times the identical and He’s at all times there. Our Stability (the Rock)!
Everybody and every thing else round us modifications consistently. Our our bodies change. Our areas change. The seasons change. Youngsters come and go – pals too. Mother and father depart. In fact, I don’t should inform you about modifications. You’re effectively conscious.
That’s the reason, whereas we have been singing, What a Pal we Have in Jesus, I considered a really unhappy time in our lives when our five-month previous grandson died all of the sudden from Sudden Toddler Dying Syndrome. It was the toughest time we had ever gone by. Not solely have been we grieving the lack of our grandson, we watched our youngsters (which was a lot worse) undergo grief.
In the course of the time I used to be grieving the dying of Spencer, I might typically surprise what may very well be extra painful than dropping our valuable grand child? However in the future the Holy Spirit informed me what may very well be a lot, a lot worse. He jogged my memory that if Jesus would depart me that might be totally horrible – complete darkness. Are you able to think about?
Who would I speak to a whole bunch of instances a day if He weren’t there? Who would I ship ideas of reward to many instances a day? The place would I am going in instances of emergency? The place would I obtain Life and Mild for the day?
How glad I’m that He won’t ever depart me – otherwise you. Irrespective of the modifications that happen throughout our lifetime, He doesn’t change. He doesn’t depart us! He’s our “eternally good friend.” What a good friend we’ve in Jesus!
Father, thank You for dwelling in us within the type of the Holy Spirit. Thank You that Your Phrase is reality – all Your guarantees are true. You’ll by no means depart us or forsake us. Thank You a lot. Amen.
