In August 1972, Ugandan dictator Idi Amin gave an order that every one Asians should depart the nation in 90 days.

Nisha Popat, who was 9 on the time, remembers how her idyllic childhood, climbing mango bushes and swimming in Lake Victoria, instantly modified.

She spoke to the BBC about what occurred and life in a brand new nation.
