NEW JERSEY — Sewa Diwali, a big meals drive organized by Dharmic communities throughout the nation, donated over 630,000 kilos of meals within the U.S. this 12 months, benefiting over 200 organizations from 32 states, together with meals pantries, homeless shelters, worship homes, and colleges. Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh USA (HSS) volunteers enthusiastically coordinated these efforts regionally and nationally.

This 12 months’s Sewa Diwali noticed lively and spirited participation from Sikh Gurudwaras, Hindu, Jain, and Buddhist temples, Yogic organizations, Interfaith organizations, Indian American cultural and linguistic associations, and hundreds of households and people everywhere in the land.
