One Christian useless and over 100 kidnapped after assault on church service in Nigeria

Kaduna State has been beset with violence and insecurity.

Christian campaigners are pleading with the Nigerian authorities to take motion to cease the assault on Christians after yet one more lethal assault.

One Christian was killed and over a 100 others kidnapped in an assault on a church service in Nigeria over the weekend. 

Gunmen opened fireplace throughout a service at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Kakau Daji, Kaduna, on Sunday. 

It’s the newest in a series of attacks on Christians in Nigeria regardless of successive warnings about declining safety and repeated calls to the federal government to behave.

Rev Joseph Hayab, of the Christian Affiliation of Nigeria (CAN) Kaduna department, advised nationwide newspaper, Politics Nigeria, that he’s “critically apprehensive” concerning the safety state of affairs.

Jo Newhouse, Sub Saharan Africa spokesperson for Open Doorways, stated the Nigerian authorities was “grossly failing its residents”.

She is asking Christians to hope for believers in Nigeria as she warns that insecurity within the area is “creating an excellent breeding floor for extremism”.

“This kidnapping is a surprising instance of the audacity of the so-called bandits and the impunity that’s escalating, seemingly with out bounds in Nigeria,” she stated. 

“The federal government is grossly failing its residents on this matter and the persevering with lawlessness is creating an excellent breeding floor for extremism.

“We name on the worldwide Physique of Christ to stay in fervent prayer for the discharge of the church members and that the Lord will use this example to convey a breakthrough on this state of affairs.
