In the event you're round my age (75) – you'll love this!

This is a PBS particular of basic (NOT classical) Christmas music: the songs I grew up with!
This system takes us again to the Perry Como and Andy Williams exhibits – and others, too: Nat King Cole, Judy Garland, Bing Crosby, The Carpenters, The Seaside Boys, Brenda Lee, Burl Ives, Johnny Mathis, Rosemary Clooney, Gene Autry, The Lennon Sisters, Eddy Arnold, Mahalia Jackson, Mitch Miller, Mitzi Gaynor, The Supremes, Jimmy Boyd and The Drifters. Hosted by Love Boat‘s Gavin MacLeod and Comfortable Days’ Marion Ross, that is nice seasonal nostalgia, together with plenty of attention-grabbing background on how a few of these songs got here to be written.
And sure, it is PBS – so there’s some fundraising, too – however even that is musical and did not hassle me in any respect!
This is the trailer – you will have to test your native PBS listings for air dates.
