I carry up my eyes to the mountains…

As you realize, I am in Georgetown, Colorado this week for the funeral (yesterday) of my nephew, Michael. My household and I are so very grateful for the assist of all of your prayers!

Wednesday was a day for the grace of God and the ability prayer… for the gift of tears and the balm of laughter… and for the consoling love of household and pals, close to and much.

The picture above is the view from Michael’s grave in a country cemetery within the Rockies.  The fantastic thing about this scene presents a picture of the peace with which the Lord blessed as we gathered in prayer.

Upfront of immediately a number of readers had requested if I would put up the homily I preached at Mike’s mass and I am happy to share that with you right here. (Earlier than listening to my homily, here is a bit of background on Mike’s life.   I am going to return to common posting with this night’s Night time Prayer.)
