Greek officers, Church, condemn ex-bishop’s remarks on rape

ATHENS, Greece (AP) — Greek politicians and the nation’s highly effective Orthodox Church joined in condemning a retired bishop who claimed Friday that girls aren’t raped “with out wanting it.”

In an interview with non-public Skai TV, Metropolitan Chrysostomos of Dodoni supported the Church’s official place in opposition to abortion, however added that there must be no abortion even within the case of rape.
