The United Nations World Meals Programme says eight out of each 9 households in Afghanistan are going hungry.
The dearth of meals is the results of Afghanistan’s financial disaster. It has been compounded by the worldwide isolation of the Taliban authorities.
The US and the Western donors minimize funding and blocked the Taliban from $9bn in overseas money reserves. Taliban leaders need these funds launched.
However would that be sufficient to forestall a humanitarian disaster?
