Pope Francis pays tribute to Queen’s ‘unstinting service’ and ‘steadfast witness of religion’
The Pope has expressed his condolences to King Charles III upon the dying of his mom, the Queen, on Thursday.
The Queen died peacefully on the age of 96 on the Balmoral Property in Scotland, the place she had been spending the summer time.
In a telegram to King Charles, the Pope stated he was “deeply saddened” to be taught of the Queen’s dying and provided his “heartfelt condolences” to the royal household and the individuals of the UK and Commonwealth.
In his message, the Pope praised the Queen’s “unstinting service” and the Christian religion that sustained her throughout her lengthy reign.
He assured King Charles of his prayers as he takes up his duties as Britain’s new monarch.
“I willingly be part of all who mourn her loss in praying for the late Queen’s everlasting relaxation, and in paying tribute to her lifetime of unstinting service to the great of the Nation and the Commonwealth, her instance of devotion to obligation, her steadfast witness of religion in Jesus Christ and her agency hope in his guarantees,” the pontiff stated.
“Commending her noble soul to the merciful goodness of our Heavenly Father, I guarantee Your Majesty of my prayers that Almighty God will maintain you along with his unfailing grace as you now take up your excessive duties as King.
“Upon you and all who cherish the reminiscence of your late mom, I invoke an abundance of divine blessings as a pledge of consolation and energy within the Lord,” he wrote.
