A Harmony Pastor Feedback: NIGHT PRAYER: Thursday 5/4

Common readers know that for the previous week my prayer posts have centered on my household’s lack of my nephew, Michael. My household and I are very grateful to your messages and prayers – the outpouring has been a supply of a lot consolation. Hope means hoping when issues are hopeless

   after I’m completely at nighttime…



Be my hope for serenity

   within the midst of my misery…

   after I’m caught in yesterday…



Be my hope for therapeutic

   in physique, thoughts and soul…



Be my hope for pleasure

   when unhappiness overwhelms me…



Be my hope for understanding

   after I’m misplaced in confusion…



Be my hope for grace

   after I’m tempted to sin…



Be my hope for pardon

   when I’ve sinned – and sinned once more…



Be my hope for knowledge

   after I’m misplaced in foolishness…



Be my hope for assist

   after I concern there’s none…



Be my hope in religion

   after I’m misplaced doubtful…



Be my hope for love

   after I’m most alone…



Be my hope for hope

   when all my hope is gone…

          Lord Jesus, be my manner, my reality, my life:

          Lord Jesus,  be my hope!

          Lord Jesus, hear my prayer! 

 

Defend me, Lord, whereas I am awake 

and watch over me whereas I sleep 

that awake I’d hold watch with you 

and asleep, relaxation in your peace…
