A Harmony Pastor Feedback: NIGHT PRAYER: Monday 5/2

Simply this afternoon, Lord,
on Sumner Street in Cambridge,
simply exterior of Harvard Sq.:
I breathed, inhaled and reveled in
my first actual whiff of spring!
You, my saving sommelier,
uncorked this longed-for season
and poured a glass of springtime
to quench my thirst for pleasure…
I lifted it to eye it is pure, pale gentle
and savor it is bouquet:
heady with vernal spirits;
oaked the way in which I favor chardonnay;
advanced with hints of rain-moist earth,
woodsy mulch and dogwood on the bloom…
My soul craves spring’s recent scent, Lord,
I am thirsting for its promise,
poured out to fill my coronary heart
with the intoxicating promise
of your Spirit and your grace…
For this afternoon’s candy pleasure, Lord,
I provide you with thanks and reward
and pray this be a classic yr
for all that spring will deliver…
Shield me, Lord, whereas I am awake
and watch over me whereas I sleep
that awake, I would hold watch with you
and asleep relaxation in your peace…
Amen.
