Good morning, good God!
Immediately, Lord, I supply
on your understanding, mercy and therapeutic
the messy elements of my life…
I give you all my undone stuff,
my incompletes, my untended free ends,
the unfinished enterprise of
guarantees but to maintain,
resentments tucked away,
social money owed in arrears,
pledges unfulfilled,
self-inventory delayed,
time foolishly wasted,
powerful jobs lengthy averted,
grudges nursed and held,
duties unattended…
All this I supply, Lord, and I pray
for braveness to face my failings,
power to do the subsequent proper factor,
knowledge to see what’s actual, what’s true,
character to form my decisions,
grace to develop in holiness
and mercy to heal my brokenness…
Assist me end what’s unfinished, Lord,
discover order in my chaos,
clear up the mess I’ve made,
tie up all my free ends
and comply with the place your Spirit leads
into your peace the place all is nicely…
