Sure certainly, this coming week (Oct. 11-15) is our first REL Spirit Week, with tons occurring — and we hope you’ll be part of us for all of it.
Monday: college students can tag @StudyReligion on their Instagram tales about what they’re doing (class prep? getting a espresso on the scholar middle? at school? hanging out on the balcony or assembly a prof?) and we’ll re-post them to REL’s Instagram story. We’ll even have a #loungetweets session on Twitter (one thing we’ve not completed shortly and which must be revived) — tune in to see what’s occurring.
Tuesday: From 10-noon we’ll be having one other button occasion alongside the Crimson Promenade, adjoining to Presidents Corridor — and sure, we have now new buttons to provide away! Be a part of our tent, hand out some buttons to random passersby, and meet different REL majors and minors, MA college students, and school. Additionally, Prof. Griffin’s REL 310’s monthly movie night is from 6-9 pm and their motion pictures are as soon as once more open to majors, minors, and MA college students (it’s moved to the a lot bigger ten Hoor 30). The film: What We Do in the Shadows (2014).
Wednesday: Heaps occurring right this moment — from 10-2 pm it’s the Majors Honest within the scholar middle’s ballroom (speak to Prof. Newton about serving to out at our desk) and, later that evening, it’s our first Fall film on the balcony, at 7 pm (or as soon as it’s darkish sufficient) with Karate Kid (1984) being proven by Profs. Newton and Griffin. (A basic, no?) We’ll have folding chairs, so gown for the climate and BYO Popcorn. We’ll even have the common balcony break from 10-noon, with a Guess Who sport customized for the event.
Thursday: MA college students might be visiting all of our lower-level courses, speaking about Spring REL courses, distributing some information about them, and possibly bringing a couple of of the leftover buttons with them.
Friday: We shut out the week with one other Instagram takeover and a closing #loungetweets session. Cease by the lounge to see who’s tweeting or write them again,
