“The LORD is my Shepherd, I shall not need.” Psalm 23:1
Amidst the main points and lists clamoring for my consideration, I discovered Psalm 23 working via my thoughts. So, I pushed apart the lists for a couple of minutes and wrote myself a prayer for my day based mostly on Psalm 23. It made a distinction in my perspective and in my sense of peace as I centered on God’s influence on my day.
Life is full and good. Even so, I want to concentrate on selecting my focus or I can get slowed down with particulars and issues and find yourself being unproductive and unfruitful. Writing helps me hold my focus.
What’s it that pulls your focus again to the Lord within the midst of busy days? Is it a stroll within the calm of nature? A go to with a good friend who shares your religion? Taking part in music that washes the mud off your soul? Listening to an inspiring podcast?
The place we focus, we observe. Hold heading towards the Lord in your focus right this moment and also you received’t end up within the ditch of fear or unfruitfulness. Observe Him as your Information!
Oh Lord, You’re my fixed information; my spirit receives from You all I want. You remind me to relaxation so I can discover non secular nourishment from You. You lead me to drink the refreshing water of Your Spirit by studying Your Phrase and letting it sink into my coronary heart and thoughts. After I do, my ideas and feelings are quieted. I’m lifted above the fray of numerous particulars and issues to search out renewed power and pleasure as I re-focus on You.
You lead me alongside the trail that’s proper, the trail that pulls reward to You and Your title. Even because the enemies of concern and fear, distraction and dread skirt round my path, You put together a feast for me; You invite me to sit down and be refreshed as You watch defensively over me. My coronary heart overflows as You are inclined to me.
With You as my fixed information, I can depend on Your goodness and mercy to be at my heels, each step of the best way. Thank You for Your power and Your refreshing presence that anchors me each right this moment and without end! Amen.
