A Harmony Pastor Feedback: Pause for Prayer: SATURDAY 10/2

This poem has a easy peace to calm the harried coronary heart

and knowledge to gradual and tempo the hurried step…

The Endurance of Strange Issues

It’s a sort of love, is it not?

How the cup holds the tea,

How the chair stands sturdy and foursquare,

How the ground receives the bottoms of footwear

Or toes. How soles of ft know

The place they’re alleged to be.

I have been enthusiastic about the persistence

Of unusual issues, how garments

Wait respectfully in closets

And cleaning soap dries quietly within the dish,

And towels drink the moist

From the pores and skin of the again.

And the stunning repetition of stairs.

And what’s extra beneficiant than a window?

For right now’s Pause for Prayer, spend a while with Pat Schneider’s
poem after which simply go searching you to seek out and be grateful to God for
the persistence of unusual issues…  Listed below are some unusual issues for whose persistence I am grateful…

For the persistence of time therapeutic my wounds,
for the persistence of tears bathing my ache,
for the persistence of mercy forgiving previous sins,

I offer you reward and thanks, Lord…

For the persistence of days maintaining me going,

for the persistence of progress after I’m dragging my foot,
for the persistence of time biding my hurry,
I offer you thanks and reward, Lord…

For the persistence of morning ready my rising,
for the persistence of evening to finish my lengthy day,
for the persistence of sleep awaiting my relaxation,
I offer you reward and thanks, Lord…

For the persistence of others bruised by my faults,
for the persistence of those that look forward to my care,
for the persistence of any whom I’ve offended,
I offer you thanks and reward, Lord…

For the persistence of those that forgive and overlook,
for the persistence of associates who put up with my quirks,
for the persistence of these with whom I am impatient,
I offer you reward and thanks, Lord…

For the persistence that is yours after I delay my prayer,
for the persistence you present as you wait on my phrases,
for the reward of your grace ever affected person with me,
I offer you thanks and reward, Lord…

Amen.
