A Harmony Pastor Feedback: NIGHT PRAYER: Friday 9/17

Some nights, Lord,

and tonight is one among them,

some nights the perfect prayer,

essentially the most real prayer,

the solely prayer I could make

is to open myself to you

    and breathe in your presence,

    breathe in your Spirit,

breathe within the grace of being with you

on the finish of one other day…

Some nights, Lord,

and tonight is one among them,

some nights my finest prayer,

the prayer of my coronary heart,

my solely prayer

is an easy nod in your route,

a quiet thanks for my blessings,

a silent settlement that we’re one:

        I’m yours and you’re mine…

Some nights, Lord,

and tonight is one among them,

some nights my finest prayer,

the prayer that is really mine,

my solely prayer

has no phrases, no cry or plea,

no form or type or sound

and but it echoes, pure in tone,

        eternally in your coronary heart…

Some nights, Lord,

and tonight is one among them,

my secret prayer,

my hidden prayer,

my solely prayer

    is to be with you,

    to belief in you

    and relaxation in you,

        a baby in your arms…

Shield me, Lord, whereas I am awake

and watch over me whereas I sleep

that awake, I’d maintain watch with you

and asleep, relaxation in your peace…

Amen.

Tonight’s music, Spiegel im Spiegel (Mirror in a Mirror)

is from one among my favourite composers, Arvo Pärt. This

minimalist, instrumental meditation for piano and cello is

good for at the moment’s Evening Prayer…
